Criteria of choice

When we go shopping for towels everything seems to be made of the same fabric, thus we cannot really tell the difference at first sight. That is why though we end up making the wrong choice. We should know what the towel is made of, which are the correct specifications and which is the country of origin/production.

The Weave

The towel that we would characterize as of "A quality" category, is made of 100% pure cotton (Check our collection). Its weave is processed through the loom with single yard or double yard and 20 thread of high quality (penie). Single yard thread we use for the towels for home-use and double yard for the towels for hotel-use so that they are more durable and long-lasting. Penie is the best thread that is used for the manufacture of buckrams. The reason that is rated that high in the rank is because this thread does not leave any traces of down thus explaining its heavy process. As for the towels of “B quality”, the same process is followed, the only difference being that they are made of thread garde and not from penie. This difference in the thread has as result the towel of leaving small quantities of down during its use.

Towel Colouring

What also plays a major role for the manufacture of the towel is the colouring. The quality of colour should be that good that it won’t fade neither on our body but nor during the washing. One of the colours that is generally avoided for the towel’s colouring, is the dark green. This particular colour, regardless of its high quality, it fades and makes the thread hardest so that it loses its absorption. We usually do not realize all of these issues when we go shopping for towels; yet, it is like a car’s engine, that we might not directly see but it still plays the most important role for the whole car.
